ART: OR THE ADMIRATION OF IT

It wasn't even pretty,
Or beautiful.
It wasn't striking,
Or life-changing.
It was scratched canvas
and light brush strokes.
It was painted bone,
And shaved gesso.
But the way she marveled
And admired,
Made it seem like...
The most beautiful thing in the world.
Can I be beautiful like that?
